2021-2022 IVC Chicago Service Sites

This year, our IVC Chicago volunteers are serving in 40 sites, including schools, homeless shelters, pantries, ESL programs for refugees, social service agencies, residences for adults with intellectual disabilities, ministries for individuals who are incarcerated or re-entering society, and online education for refugees around the world.

Our Ignatian Volunteer Corps volunteer Ruth offers a quiet strength and the gift of hope to clients, boosting their self-esteem and enabling them to make informed decisions about their lives.  The staff was blessed to witness her selflessness and compassion as she sat alongside a client with no family as he was dying, to ensure that he did no pass alone.

We are very lucky to have Mary Ellen with us as an Ignatian volunteer who embodies Christ’s message to love our neighbor.  Not only does Mary Ellen greet and teach each students with love and charity but she continually brings joy to her work and those around her.  We love our partnership with IVC!
