Experience Making a Difference

Experience Making a Difference

Welcome to IVC St. Louis

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) offers semi-retired and retired women and men an opportunity to serve others, to pray and reflect together as a small community and to grow spiritually.  Using the varied talents and professional life experiences volunteers commit to serve one or two days a week.

IVC St. Louis is a dynamic group of retired and semi-retired individuals who volunteer at organizations that serve people who are poor or disadvantaged.

Currently there are 30 IVC volunteers are contributing 8-16 hours of service at 20 partner agencies and schools throughout the St. Louis area.

Volunteers meet monthly as a community for prayer, conversation and reflection in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality. Each volunteer also meets monthly with a Spiritual Reflector to talk about their service experiences in light of their faith.

The IVC experience is a powerful blend of spirituality and service supported by a small faith community that invites each volunteer to grow while assisting with the needs of the underserved in our area.
