Experience Making a Difference

Experience Making a Difference

Welcome to the IVC Virtual Program

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps virtual region is made up of men and women over the age of 50 who hear God’s call to serve those in need in our community. We share our skills, talents and life experiences with organizations that directly assist those among us who are in need. IVC Service Corps Members make a difference by serving others, working for a more just society, and transforming lives! In our virtual program, members can serve virtually with a national nonprofit, or they can serve in person with a local nonprofit. Our virtual program is perfect for folks who would like to be a part of IVC, but do not live in one of our in person regions, travel often, or have other circumstances that make virtual work more suitable.

Along with the volunteer experience, IVC Service Corps Members grow deeper in their faith by reflecting and praying in the Ignatian tradition. We believe our reflecting and praying—individually and communally—deepens the experience of service, and is a unique feature of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps. During the months of September through May, we meet once a month to pray together and share our service experiences with one another.
