Program Details

Currently, IVC Syracuse has approximately 30 service corps members who volunteer at over 15 partner agency service sites. These agencies serve those struggling with poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, and disability as well as language and cultural barriers. Many served by these agencies are among the poorest in Central New York including, infants, families and seniors, refugees and immigrants, migrant workers, and those living with no reserves. Each service corps member works with a specific partner agency for approximately ten months of the year, from four to 16 hours per week. Many members return year after year to the same assignment.
