Volunteer Opportunities

Members of IVC’s service corps typically serve two days a week for 10 months a year, and many renew that commitment year after year. Corps members spend their time in local service sites that are identified as IVC partner organizations. These community organizations work directly with people who are materially poor or in organizations that address the structures that affect people who are poor. Here are some current opportunities:

La Salle Academy, Philadelphia – Individual and small group instruction, tutoring, classroom aide/lesson prep, homework assistance.

LUCY Outreach, Camden – Assistance staffing programs, tutoring, food prep, pick up and deliveries, various program support.

Divine Providence Village, Springfield – Food prep, kitchen management, food service to residents.

St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia – Student support, ACE Program assistance.

St. Francis Inn, Kensington – Book keeper.

Caring For Friends, Northeast Philadelphia – Food distribution support.
