Need a Volunteer?

Our partnership with IVC has been a tremendous blessing to Friendship Place. We’d be hard-pressed to find a volunteer with (Tom’s) level of expertise elsewhere, and we couldn’t afford to pay for the help he gives us. His contribution helps us serve more than 400 homeless men and women a year on a shoestring budget.

Executive Director, Community Council for the Homeless, Friendship Place

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps® (IVC) provides men and women, most age 50 or better, opportunities to serve people who are poor and disadvantaged, providing hope, dignity and a brighter tomorrow. IVC matches the talents and skills of experienced adults with the greatest social needs of our time through meaningful service in partner agencies across the country.

IVC Volunteers become partners with the organization, professionally contributing to significant functions consistent with their skills and background.

IVC is one of the truly great blessings of my life. I can volunteer for an agency where my career skills and accomplishments are a major asset. I get to serve the poor and have an adventure in pursing the enrichment of my faith through Ignatian spirituality.
