As a member of the IVC, you’ll have the opportunity to serve those in need one or two days a week while also participating in spiritual formation in a community of peers who share a commitment to service.

About Fr. Greg Boyle, S.J.
Fr. Gregory Boyle, S.J., is a Jesuit priest and the founder and director of Homeboy Industries, the world’s largest gang intervention and rehabilitation program. He previously served as pastor of Dolores Mission Church in Los Angeles, where he began his groundbreaking work with gang members. Fr. Greg is the author of several acclaimed books, including Tattoos on the Heart, Barking to the Choir, and his most recent work, Cherished Belonging: The Healing Power of Love in Divided Times. In 2024, Fr. Greg received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Joe Biden, recognizing his decades of service and commitment to marginalized communities. That same year, the Ignatian Volunteer Corps honored him with the Madonna Della Strada Award for his leadership and dedication to Ignatian values.
