If you haven’t figured it out by now from reading these issues of Connections, I’m just CRAZY about the men and women who become members of IVC. Although I have yet to meet each and every IVC-er, each one that I have met has inspired me to my very bones by the depth of their commitment and compassion and generosity of skills. At a time in their lives when they could “take it easy”, they are out in their communities making a difference–one life at a time–to the tune of tens of thousands of lives across the country.
Thank you for allowing me to share the stories of our volunteers with you! I hope you feel inspired by them also. It’s you who help make their stories IVC stories.
Sunday is Father’s Day and in this month’s issue we have a really cool “father” story that plays on two meanings of the term “father”–the one for a biological father and the other for how we call our priests “Father”. June celebrates Father’s Day and is often the month for ordinations–we get to combine them both in this story of a father and son who inspire one another in this unique way.
Enjoy reading and Happy Father’s Day to all fathers out there!!
