Experience Making a Difference

Gratitude for a Wonderful Event!

by | May 13, 2025

On Sunday, April 6th IVC Milwaukee and Dismas Prison Ministry hosted an exhibition of artwork created by incarcerated persons.  Over their 25 years of service, Dismas Ministry has sent Catholic faith resources into prisons all across the country.  In response they have been gifted with this beautiful collection of artwork. The pieces explore themes of freedom, confinement, resilience, and self-expression animated by faith.  IVC Service Corps members David Bardon and Kelly O’Keefe-Boettcher have an integral role in supporting the Dismas Ministry mission.  This event was a celebration of our partnership and shared mission of service giving voice to those often unheard and unseen.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended Expressions of the Soul and helped make it such a meaningful and memorable afternoon. Your presence brought warmth, community, and encouragement to this important celebration of art, resilience, and hope.

We invite you to scroll through some of our favorite moments from the day here. Let the art speak to you — and remind you that transformation, beauty, and grace are alive in every human story.
