Conrad lives in Cedarburg and has been serving as an Ignatian Volunteer Corps member at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Milwaukee since 2023.
Conrad York is a dedicated member of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) Milwaukee region, contributing his expertise to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. As a Marquette University graduate with degrees in Management Information Systems, Finance, and an MBA in International Business, Conrad brings valuable skills to his volunteer work.
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School offers a unique educational model, combining Catholic/Ignatian education with a work-study program for students from families with limited financial resources. This aligns with IVC’s goal of serving communities in need through meaningful volunteer work.
At Cristo Rey, Conrad supports the administrative team with strategic planning and reporting. His work includes:
- Analyzing competitors
- Studying changing demographics of students and families
- Identifying future educational and developmental needs of students
- Researching potential impacts of Artificial Intelligence on students’ experiences with corporate work study partners
Conrad joined IVC in 2022, drawn to the organization’s Ignatian focus and commitment to community service. His passion for urban education and Ignatian spirituality aligns well with IVC’s mission of serving the poor and marginalized.
Conrad values the fellowship and spirituality that IVC provides, particularly enjoying the opportunity to hear stories from other members about their impact on various organizations. He emphasizes the importance of discernment in the IVC mission, viewing it as a process of understanding and following Christ’s will through living a life of Christ likeness. In addition to his work with Cristo Rey, Conrad is actively involved in other Christian educational institutions and maintains ties to the Marquette community through his membership at Gesu Parish.
