Welcome to IVC Omaha
The Ignatian Volunteer Corps of Omaha joins our national efforts that provide men and women, aged 55 or better with the opportunity to serve people in poverty and address social injustice. IVC operates in 22 regions across the U. S. with close to 600 corps members serving at over 300 nonprofit partner agencies. IVC Service Corps Members strive to make a difference by serving others, working for a more just society, and transforming lives!
Along with the volunteer experience, IVC Service Corps Members grow deeper in their faith by reflecting and praying in the Ignatian tradition. We believe our reflection and prayer—individually and communally—deepens the experience of service, and is a unique feature of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps. During the months of September through May, we meet once to pray together and share our service experiences with one another inspiring each other to find purpose, choose action that promotes justice, and become “Contemplatives in Action.”
