IVC San Diego Evening of Gratitude

March 26, 2023

Event Registration is now closed

Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ, is the founder of Homeboy Industries, the largest gang-intervention and re-entry program in the world. He is also the best-selling author of multiple books including Tattoos on the HeartBarking to the Choir, and The Whole Language. Fr. Greg is an inspiration to so many, and we are proud to honor him with the 2023 Madonna Della Strada Award. This award is presented to a person reflecting the Ignatian values of direct service to the poor and work dedicated to creating a more just society.

IVC is proud to honor Lucy Howell with the 2023 Sheila O’Malley Vision & Dedication Award. Lucy has been a dedicated member of IVC San Diego for 10 years. During this time, she has made an impact volunteering with organizations such as Kino Border Initiative, Casa Cornelia Law Center, and now A Faith That Does Justice at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, where she serves as the program’s Facilitator. This award honors an individual who, like Sheila O’Malley (1949-2016), envisions the growth of IVC to serve people in need, deepen Ignatian spirituality, and spread the Kingdom of God on earth.
