Racism…A Thoughtful Dialogue

Racism…A Thoughtful Dialogue on the Christian Response to Racial Justice. A World Premiere Event. Hosted by Ignatian Volunteer Corps. October 21st, 11:00-1:00 CDT.

You are invited to live/virtually attend, and SPONSOR, a world premiere conversation on social justice and response to racial justice issues. Facilitated by Twin City attorney, Roshan Rajkumar, renowned authors Rev. James Martin, SJ and Rev. James Wallis will have a dialogue concerning the racial transitions that awakened us during these turbulent times.

Rev. James Martin, SJ

Rev. James Martin, SJ, is a Jesuit priest, editor at large of America Magazine, and bestselling author of Jesus: A Pilgrimage, The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything, and Between Heaven and Mirth. Father Martin has written for many publications, including the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and he is a regular commentator in the national and international media. Before entering the Jesuits in 1988, Father Martin graduated from the Wharton School of Business and worked for General Electric for six years. In 2017, Pope Francis appointed him to be a Consultor for the Vatican’s Secretariat for Communication.

Jim Wallis

REV.JAMES E. WALLIS is an American theologian, and founder and editor of Sojourners magazine. He is a writer, teacher, and political activist. In his book, “America’s Original Sin” Wallis asks us to transcend racial categories and to see in one another the image of God. He points out the structural realities of racism and challenges us to do more than deny it.
