We have something special to share with you in this Lenten issue of Connections — the gift of our spiritual reflectors!
What strengthen’s IVC’s capacity to bring healing and wholeness to a broken world is our unique ability to provide ongoing, structured spiritual growth for our service corps men and women. Ignatian spirituality, scripture, prayer and community all serve to deepen our volunteers’ relationship with God, thus sustaining and nurturing them in their committed service to those in need.
The graces that come from a sustained spiritual life and participation in a community that serves those in need are concretely powerful and transformative.
Over many years, IVC has attracted and engaged hundreds of men and women, Jesuits and laity, uniquely educated and experienced to provide guidance on the path of spiritual growth. Today we share some of their wisdom with you to help enrich your Lenten journey.
Let’s join our prayers and practices toward the healing of our souls and our communities so that we may all rise with Christ to our highest love in life.
Know that I hold you in my own prayers each day.
May you be blessed as you are a blessing for others, especially those in need,
