Volunteer Stories

The volunteer services of Art have been so important to Holy Name Parish
and School. Working side-by-side with our Maintenance staff person, Art has
completed many small projects to support the look and feel of our campus
buildings. Over this past summer he was instrumental in leading a project to
complete the construction of our school sign at the entrance to our school
building. It took this community three years to raise the funds necessary for the sign.

Once we had the funds secured, Art took the reins and led a group of six contractors through the process of raising the beautiful brick and sandstone sign that now exists at the main entrance to the school. God is always good to us, but sending us Art is one of the greatest things that has happened to us in the sense of human support for a long, long time.

God bless Art and the great work of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps program!
